It’s appropriate that country star Blake Shelton’s first television concert special takes place in an indoor stadium on the largest stage he’s ever worked. “When I was a teenager in Oklahoma, Garth Brooks had his first television special and everybody I knew taped it. It was the biggest thing ever,” Shelton recalls. “I probably watched it 100 times; there was this huge stage and I remember thinking, ‘That’s what you do and that’s what I want to do one day.”Shot at Roberts Stadium in Evansville, Indiana, Blake Shelton Live: It’s All About Tonight premiered Wednesday, September 8, 2010 on Great American Country  (GAC). The special is produced by Jon Small, the creative mind behind several Emmy-nominated projects including Garth Brooks’ Central Park HBO special.
